Growing up, Jerry Garcia and my dad would sit in our living room picking old-time tunes for hours

Sam Grisman grew up immersed in acoustic music history. The son of mandolin legend David "Dawg" Grisman, Sam watched Garcia and Grisman create magic in his childhood home in Mill Valley, California. Now based in Nashville, he leads a rotating collective of the finest young acoustic musicians carrying that tradition forward.
